Head of Branded Content, BSkyB
Jason Hughes was appointed Sky's first Head of Branded Content in March 2010. (Sky is the UK's largest Pay TV broadcaster with over 10.5million customers). During this time he has overseen Sky's strategy and positioning in the emerging UK Product Placement market to which Sky has aired 11 PP deals to date including Award Winning Campaigns for Tresemme in Britain's Next Top Model (2012 Hollis); and Xbox Kinect Sports - winners of Thinkbox's (marketing body for the main UK commercial TV broadcasters) Planning TV Innovation Award in 2012.
In addition to Visa's campaign with Usain Bolt in A League of Their Own; Jason has also helped bring to air a brand partnership with Spontex in Sky 1's hit scripted Comedy - Trollied which also expanded to an on-pack licensing promotion and Diet Coke; in the Fashion Show - Styled to Rock which featured Rhianna. Jason's most recent PP deal is the part brand -funded style series Show me Your Wardrobe also with MEC.
